Google je u pokušaju popularisanja svog proizvoda Google Buzz omogućio programerima da pristupaju sadržajima kako se oni objavljuju. Pristup tzv. „firehouse“ Google Buzz podataka je omogućen u ponedeljak. Na ovaj način se omogućava inkorporisanje javnih Google Buzz sadržaja u aplikacije koje programeri kreiraju. Google još uvek pokušava da načini Buzz konkurentom popularnim društvenim mrežama kao što su Facebook i Twitter.
